Update in three steps

The update usually takes less than one minute. Changes to presets and settings depend on the firmware version: check the release notes (opens in a new tab) before updating.

  1. Put your MM2 in update mode

    With the USB cable disconnected, hold down both A and B. Keep them held while connecting your MM2 to the computer via USB.

    Check that both lines appear on your MM2 display before continuing.

  2. Allow the browser to connect

    Allow MIDI access when prompted, including SysEx access if requested. Your browser needs this permission to send the firmware.

    No permission prompt? Click Start Update to try again. If your MM2 is missing, check its USB connection and confirm that its display shows update mode.

  3. Send the firmware

    The latest firmware is selected automatically. Keep the USB cable connected and this page open during the transfer.

    During the transfer, your MM2 displays “Receiving SYSEX Writing Flash...” and its LEDs show MIDI activity.

    The update is complete when the display reads “FW Update OK Now Rebooting...”. Your MM2 then reboots automatically. Keep it connected until it has restarted.
